Every year CBA National spends a little time with Toronto lawyer and legal commentator Omar Ha-Redeye to collect his thoughts on a range of emerging issues in the legal industry.  Here we asked him about the growing trend where social media channels like Facebook and Twitter are used to publish judicial pleadings and where absolute privilege is invoked to protect people from defamation claims.  The question was raised in the context of an exchange on the topic between Omar to Judy Smith, a leading international crisis manager and one of the keynote speakers at the August CLC in Ottawa.
