Online Defamation one of Top Legal Issues for 2010

Jonathan Bailey of the Blog Herald lists the top 5 online legal issues to watch for 2010:

  1. Disclosure
  2. Shield Laws
  3. Copyright
  4. Defamation
  5. Trademark

As an example of the type of defamation issues that exist online, he points to a post about the Ron Livingston case regarding Wikipedia.  He also points out the protections of Section 230 for American bloggers.
